About Malmo Tourism

As Sweden's third-biggest city, Malmo is popular with visitors and lies within the southerly province of Scania. Malmo offers history dating back to the 17th century, when the city was actually part of Denmark. The city's main attractions include the Town Hall, or 'Radhuset' as it is known locally, and the Malmohus Castle, which is home to the City Museum, Natural History Museum, Aquarium and the Tropicarium. The Kommendanthuset military museum is also worthy of mention, as is the nearby Museum of Technology, or Teknik-Och Sjodfartsmuseet.

Less than hour's drive away from Malmo and also near to Sturup Airport (MMX) itself is Copenhagen, Denmark's capital city, which offers both history and modern urban facilities.
